More Garlic is built privacy-first. The short version: the app collects no data about you. There is no account, it works fully offline and on-device, and we (the developer) have no servers that receive, store, or see your recipes, lists, or notes.

What we collect

Nothing. More Garlic has no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. We do not gather usage data, identifiers, contacts, or location, and we have no analytics SDK that could.

Where your data lives

• On your device. The recipes, cards, grocery lists, and notes you create are stored locally on your iPhone. They are not uploaded to us or to any cloud service we operate.
• Deleting it. Removing the app from your iPhone deletes its stored data along with it.

When the app uses the network

More Garlic is designed to work offline. It reaches the internet only for the specific, user-initiated reasons below, and none of these send your personal information to the developer:

• Fetching a recipe from a web link. When you paste or share a recipe URL, the app requests that web page so it can read the recipe into a card. The request goes to the site that hosts the recipe, not to us.
• On-device translation language packs. Translating a recipe uses Apple's on-device translation. The first time you use a language, iOS may download that language pack from Apple. This is handled by the operating system and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. The recipe text itself is translated on your device.
• Future grocery hand-off (off by default). A planned feature will let you send a finished list to a grocery service such as Instacart. It is turned off by default, only runs if you choose to use it, and would share only the list items you send — never a profile of you collected by us.

Camera

If you scan a recipe page, the app uses the camera only to read that page, on your device. Photos and the text recognized from them are not sent to us.

On-device intelligence

Some features — tidying up a scanned recipe, and optional shopping-trip or leftover suggestions — use Apple's on-device Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence) on devices that support them. The recipe text, list items, and suggestions are processed entirely on your device; they are never sent to us or to any server by the app.

Exports you choose

Apple Reminders. If you ask More Garlic to add a shopping list to Apple Reminders, the app first asks for your permission, then copies just that list into your own Reminders. That copy lives in your Reminders account — outside the app — and is handled by Apple (including syncing through your own iCloud, if you use it), as described in Apple's Privacy Policy. Nothing is sent to us.

Nutrition data

Per-serving nutrition figures are approximate and are estimated on your device using bundled USDA reference data. They are for general guidance, not medical or dietary advice.

Children

More Garlic is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. It collects no data from anyone, including children, and contains no ads or third-party content.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, we will update the date above and post the revised version on this page.
